The present work corresponds to an integrative review of the Brazilian literature, of a basic nature and qualitative approach, with the objective of exploring the concept of work transfer in psychoanalysis. The integrative review was structured into three categories of analysis, namely: 1) transfer work and work transfer, 2) work transfer and transmission in psychoanalysis, and 3) analyst training. Work transfer, as the link established between analysts, with the production and transmission of knowledge in the psychoanalytic field, respects a possible condition for all those transferred with psychoanalysis. The work transfer process expresses an operation inherent to the collectivity of those who are inserted in this analytical path scenario. Given the pertinence and operation that work transfer has in the production, transmission and practice of psychoanalysis, we sought to investigate the implication that the concept – work transfer – has in psychoanalytic production, and not just what production has to say about the concept.
