Objective: To identify reproductive health care actions in Primary Health Care. Method: Qualitative study, carried out with 30 doctors and 50 nurses from family health strategy teams. Data were interpreted according to content analysis and in the light of specialized literature. Results: Among the guidelines offered to the public, the following stand out: the identification of the fertile period, recommendations on the frequency of sexual practices, preventive folic acid prescription and anamnesis limited to the woman's sexual life history. In more complex cases, referrals are made to another level of health care, for example, a specialized gynecology consultation, due to the lack of a reference service for infertility. Final considerations: the incipient actions carried out by professionals in the clinical approach and in the management of services are not in accordance with the recommendation of ministerial documents.
